About IoT

The Internet of Things (IoT) describes the network of physical objects—“things”—that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies for the purpose of connecting and exchanging data with other devices and systems over the internet. These devices range from ordinary household objects to sophisticated industrial tools. With more than 7 billion connected IoT devices today, experts are expecting this number to grow to 10 billion by 2020 and 22 billion by 2025.

Deploying IoT sensors during the construction phase manages operational risk through real-time monitoring of site conditions, leading to safer, more efficient projects that are delivered on-time. Real-time alerting provides the data construction managers need to make better decisions

IoT devices are pieces of hardware, such as sensors, actuators, gadgets, appliances, or machines, that are programmed for certain applications and can transmit data over the internet or other networks.

An IoT platform is an on-premises software suite or a cloud service (IoT platform as a service [PaaS]) that monitors and manages endpoints via applications business units deploy on the platform.

Our Products

Latium Technologies offers end-to-end services for the deployment of the platform and related sensory technology through white-glove service, including setup, commissioning, training, support, and decommissioning.

Latium Technologies provides a suite of applications under the Job Site Insights, Powered by Yonder banner to manage construction projects. Applications include Job Site Insights, Job Site Resourcing, Job Site Access, Job Site Staffing, and Fleet Management.

A Latium Technologies Representative would be happy to provide you with an estimate based on your project's unique scope and requirements.

Job Site Insights is built on Microsoft Azure and subsequently relies on Azure Security. The Job Site Insights platform is subjected to regular code-review and penetration testing to ensure compliance with data quality and security standards.

IoT Solutions

At Latium Technologies, we pride ourselves on our ability to respond to customer needs as quickly as possible. The installation timeline will vary depending on factors like your location and the scope of your project. Generally, you can expect the installation process to take as little as one day. Get in touch with a Latium representative for more details.

Our no-hassle installation process can be broken into 3 steps: Site Exploration, Installation, and Activation.

1. Site Exploration

Our JSI® experts will visit your job site to take measurements and assess risks that could lead to lost time or money. We will then work with the construction team to optimize the placement of smart sensors around the site.

2. Installation

After determining where to place the smart sensors, our JSI® experts will return to complete installation and familiarize senior site personnel with the JSI® web portal interface. If sensors need to be moved around over the course of a project, we’re here to help.

3. Activation

Once the smart sensors are set up, you’ll receive a link to download our JSI® mobile app, and you can start receiving real-time alerts on job site conditions immediately. Through the app, you can also access daily summary reports and historical data to make the best decisions for your project and your people. Share project information with key colleagues and clients and keep them up to date on your progress.

Ingenious E-Sense

E-Sense operates on the LoRaWAN network and communicates below the noise floor. This means the device will not interfere with the mine’s legacy communications infrastructure.

Absolutely! E-Sense is rated for temperatures of -40°/-40° F/C to +85°/+30° F/C, and is also resistant to dust and water. E-Sense has also undergone rigorous destructive tests to ensure it is hardened for the rough environments.

While E-Sense has been integrated into Job Site Insights®, data can be pushed to any interface you currently use to monitor your job site.

Like all Latium Technologies devices, E-Sense can be installed in seconds using the Job Site Insights mobile application. Plus, with Latium’s “White Glove Service”, our team of hardware specialists can handle your full installation from start to finish.

E-Sense devices will last from 3-5 years.

The recommended range between the E-Sense and Smart Edge Device is 2KM line of sight.

E-Sense can connect to the cable in two ways: from the cable connector (or pot head) using a specialty bracket, OR directly onto the cable using a durable harness.

Yes – E-Sense can also be used to determine the exact length and layout of your high-voltage cable runs, enabling more accurate planning.
